He was a Red Man man. Many was the time he would walk down the offensive line and spit on your helmet while you were lined up. Or send a sophomore scurrying over to retrieve his pouch if he set it down somewhere. I know Danny Ford was famous for it, but my mind will always go to Coach Humphries first when I think of Red Man.

Before I got old and ugly, I used to play rugby. Exhausting sport. Anyway, as soon as the game was over, in a dehydrated state, I would chug a beer and take a hit of Red Man. Put you on another planet for about 5 minutes.
