Pollock is dogging us and not dogging us on CFB live.

He says we are one of the biggest disappointments, but he still believes we can win it all. Joey Galloway came to our defense saying that we have a Heisman contender and we are undefeated, so how can we be a disasppointment. Galloway thinks we can win it all. Booger Mcfarland thought it was a joke that Pollock thinks we are a disappointment. Pollock said he has extremely high standards for the team we have. He thinks we lost our edge from last year and of course they all mentioned the turnovers. It was interesting. In the end they they all think Bama wins it all unless they blow it. Galloway thinks that if we start to jell though that we are one of two teams that can stop Bama. Pollock agreed due to Watson. The other being Ohio State. It was also said that FSU is Watson's chance for his Heisman moment. Anyway, that's the CFB Live today.

No way they beat bama. Bama's defense is way better and Bama's offense is way better than Wisconsin's. At least we have proven we can outscore the nations best offense.

I pretty much agree with all of that.

We are getting it done, we are 7-0, we have had too many TOs and missed opportunities in the red zone.. we fix that stuff and we can beat anybody.

I don't think most fans would say they are pleased with the offense. Before you start screaming "but but..they put up like 400 yards a game blah blah", it's eye test people. You can just see that something it's a little more off than what we were hoping for going into this year. The running game doesn't seem very good and DeShaun is clearly a bit off compared to last year.
That said, the defense has actually been better than I expected. I didn't expect the DL to be as dominant as it has been. I thought the secondary would be a huge liability this year but they've played respectably at least. I thought we didn't have enough speed at LB but we've worked around that. The defense has impressed me.
So with the offense disappointing a bit, and the defense impressing me a bit, it's almost a wash for me.

Honestly I think that is a fair assessment

All around I'd pretty much agree with what was said. We have not yet met our potential. If we don't meet it, then in the end we will be disappointing. However, we still are undefeated and have a chance to fully meet our potential if we find our edge and reduce the turnovers. I believe we are the strongest threat to Alabama if we were able to meet our potential. Basically - we have the highest ceiling of teams (other than Alabama - and maybe equal to them), but so far Ohio State and Michigan are operating closer to their ceilings than we are.

calling Clemson a disappointment is a stretch, but i think it's fair to say we haven't quite met expectations. Of course part of the problem is exactly that - expectations.
Lets just pretend that our offense was top 5 in the nation and our defense was 30ish. We still had close scrapes with Auburn, NC State etc, but the scores were more like 34-28 and 38-31 OT rather than 19-13 and 24-17. I actually think most people would be more willing to accept that version of Clemson because it's much closer to what they were expecting. Our defense wasn't supposed to be top 5 again this year, but it is. Our offense wasn't supposed to 30ish and struggling to generate big plays, but through 7 games it is.
While i do hear some talk about our defense exceeding expectations again, there's much more talk about our offense not meeting them.
Really though, if you want to hear more insightful analysis you need to go find some podcasts and ignore mainstream stuff like ESPN. SB Nation has a couple of podcasts that i enjoy, including one with Bill Connelly, a contributor to Football Outsiders and the creator of the S&P+.

emphasis on the most recent game, good or bad. We overreact if one team plays poorly and extrapolate that to the rest of the season and overreact if they play too well.
Everyone seems to be forgetting that, to date, Clemson has the best win of ANYONE in the country in Louisville. Did we look mediocre last week? Sure. Did Bama look close to unbeatable? Yeah. But come on, it's halfway through the season and those were two games in a vacuum.
