The Holiday Bowl usually has a better than average turnout for being a mid-tier bowl.
San Diego is a pretty big city and we’re starved for football since the stupid Spanos family moved the chargers. SDSU doesn’t draw much, but there are a lot of transplants and college football fans, just not for the local team.
Oregon is obviously a popular team on the west coast and UNC is a national brand too. I think the corporate sponsors do a good job giving out tix too. We got 10x 4 packs of tickets for clients and invites to gaslamp events.
San Diego is an awesome city to visit too and it’s the only bowl in town this year. Glad to see the fans showing up, even in this brutally cold weather (below 60 degrees!)… just kidding.
