I've heard that it is a 45 million dollar stadium. Not sure if that is true or not.

He coached an SEC team last year, and is coaching high school this year. He's 52. His career will never recover from that decision.

Doesn't matter if it was Vandy, or even USCe.

SEC>AAAAA high school football.
I mean...it's high school. Other than Al Bundy, who cares?

Maybe Morris.

He made about $12 million in buyout money from Arkansas and Auburn. This may be his way of retiring.
Morris the OC was good at implementing HUNH, which was super effective against mid and lower tier teams. So, meh. Morris the QB coach on the other hand... he was fantastic.

He certainly didn't do it as a career move. And its not like the pressure would be any less to perform.
Might as well get paid if there if he is still going to have that pressure to perform.

Went to Beantown Tavern to see Billy Don Burns play a show a few years back was the last time I've been. Hit up Carolina Beer Temple for a little shopping when I was there...that still open?

Hey, it's not a bad gig... top-level HS football in Texas is

huge. I betcha he's pulling down $150K-200K year. Mostly local games, short bus rides, home more often. No national recruiting horsecrap to deal with... kids with potential move into that school district to play for a bigtime team and get exposure. It's not a 24x7x365 job like college.
And if he has any sense at all, he's already banked millions from college coaching and buyouts. So he's set financially. Sliding down to a job like this, to ease onto the off ramp of life and retirement... what's not to like about it? I get it.
