Did you not see on the other thread that I was happy I was wrong on Wiggins. I love our staff, but I worry with most of the kids were trying to get because we're going against Auburn and Ole Miss and we know what they're up to. We have great recruiters on our staff, but there's somethings you can't overcome unfortunately.

Heck, I used to be a recruiting intern for Napier and then Jeff Scott. I've heard the stories and seen some of what we're up against.

I have no idea if this staff can close because outside of Dabo and Jeff Scott (who was a GA half way through the last year I was there), no one else was on the staff then. That staff had a lot of closers with Dabo, Napier, and Chris Rumph. You can beleive it or not, that's up to you. Dabo becoming head coach actually lessened his effect as a recruiter because he's more limited in his visits now.

Since I have to spell it out, you can't overcome cash with some of the recruits if they've got outside pressures. Carl Lawson was all but done with Auburn and then his dad takes two visits there without him. We all know about sCam Newton and his fathers new church. Then you have RN and the antics with his fathers job. You've got Adams with a mentor. What I'm saying is that you can't have great relationships, like we did with RN and Adams, but there's something's that relationship won't overcome. The big name we did get even happened to let it be known that he couldn't be bought as well. You seem to think that since I beleive the teams we're going up against are dirty and I question our ability to overcome that that I'm unhappy with this class which is far from the truth.
