Did you watch any of the court proceedings? When he was originally attacked by rosenbaum, he was going to put out a fire and was yelling, asking if anybody needed medical help.
When rosenbaum attacked him he repeatedly yelled out "friendly" to let rosenbaum know he was there to help. That didn't stop the mentally ill pedophile from attacking him.

The whole deal is a mess. Jacob Blake was to blame for getting shot by the police. The DOJ last month agreed that there was not sufficient evidence to press charges against the cop. Blake was a punk idiot.
Then without looking into the circumstances of this individual shooting, the usual suspects put the Blake shooting in the systemic racism pile and tried to elevate Blake as just some random black man unjustly shot by the police.
Then the rioting, looting and burning began while the authorities essentially sat back and allowed it to continue.
Rittenhouse then very unwisely decided to insert himself into this tinderbox. He was not protecting his family's property or lives, but apparently was disgusted by what was happening. He should have stayed at home.Period.
Nonetheless, none of Rittenhouse's shootings occurred except when he was actively pursued and threatened. He was not a random shooter mowing down anyone except the three idiots who ran after him when he was running away.
The prosecution has a very weak case. Now there are fears that unless Rittenhouse is convicted, rioting may occur. Hopefully Rittenhouse is not convicted and cooler heads prevail after the verdict. If he is found not guilty, it at least looks like the Governor of Wisconsin is going to do his job this time to protect the city with the Guard. Had that been done after the Blake shooting, Rittenhouse would be unknown to America.
The mayors and governors in this country cannot cede the streets to the mob. When they do, this is what can happen.

They'd be hailing skateboard guy was a hero if it was an actual active shooter/mass shooter.

Kyle rittenhouse is running towards the cops for safety. While a mob chases him yelling "get his ###" Someone nearly took his head off with a rock, but misses and knocks his hat off. He then trips, more yells to "get him", he gets kicked in the head by someone they call "jump kick man" then he gets bashed over the head by a skate board. He then shoots.

Actually the only way he does get convicted at this point is by jury intimidation or tampering, which is being attempted. Is that how the legal system should work here in the US?
See, this is already a problem. Already dismissing the validity of the jury if things don't go the preferred way. It's similar to the election claims before they happened. "If Trump wins, all good. If he loses, fraud!"
Whatever the jury decides, it's legitimate and the system worked.

We all know he was guilty, but OJ's acquittal wasn't due to the jury. It was due to the failure of the prosecution. A jury said they didn't provide enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.
That's what we want. We need a system that demands prosecutors do a fantastic job to prove convictions. Sure, we don't like that OJ walked, but I'd rather be in a country where the burden is put on the prosecution.
I'm not going to be pleased if Rittenhouse walks (no, I don't want to debate this again), but if he does, I'll have faith the jurors had just reason to acquit him.

He chased rittenhouse down, pulled out an illegally possessed pistol and pointed it at rittenhouse. It wasn't until then that Kyle shot him in the arm.
