I was just wondering why I haven’t felt like I’ve seen him as much this season. He was an absolute beast last season, but this season i feel like I’ve seen carter making more plays than him. Was this due to a position shift? Haven’t followed as closely this year

Took us a while to figure out best positions for carter and Simpson. We’re in great shape from last week forward.

Bingo.

T.Simpson was brilliant LAST year at SLB; he was brilliant at SLB last week against Miami.

B.Carter was very good THIS year at SLB; he was absolutely brilliant at WLB against Louisville.

As you've pointed out, the secret sauce is T.Simpson at SLB, J.Trotter at MLB, and B.Carter at WLB.

Simpson averaged 5 tackles per game last year.

He's averaging 5.4 tackles per game this year.

Ironic. I mentioned that to a friend yesterday. I expected more this year and saw more from him last year. He seems like he could be a beast in the NFL, but not this season. He is really good obviously. I think he will be a freak in the NFL. Something is not clicking with how he is used imo.

Everyone is now in the correct place. Get ready. Clemson Defense is back! The LBs are big again.

And we have more defense coming in next year. The talent is big time now

just growing pains. Wes Goodwin and Nick Eason have this thing on lock down.

Stats only tell part of the story.
Last year he was making big plays compared to this year. Making plays just not game changing plays. I like this new alignment and look forward to a great finish.

says he actually making more plays now than he did last year. Maybe you're thinking sacks or TFL? Otherwise he's ahead of last year.
