According to Football Scoop, George Edwards from Cowboys is leading candidate at Duke and former Cavalier Anthony Pondexter is leading candidate at UVA.

Welp, Dabo better hope to God he has hit on Klubnick if this is true. Elliot has shown he cannot be successful without an NFL QB. I was hoping he would be hired somewhere so Dabo can put a fresh coat of paint on his offense.

Not necessarily. 2017 come to mind? He just can’t do much with pathetic QB play and guess what. No one else can either.

When has Elliot shown he could have a Championship caliber offense without an NFL QB? Bryant? Yea good enough to win the ACC but Bama exposed him. Elliot ran the offense like Deshaun was still there. And now this dumpster fire this year, no words. Thank god the line improved enough to run because he doesn’t have a QB he trusts enough not to give the other team points. If he is here, you better have NFL talent at the QB position or you won’t beat the big boys. Or in the current situation, even the Pitts and NCstates of the world.

no idea why any coach worth a crap would take that job. It was a last stand and only option for a guy like Cutcliffe...but for someone like TE it would have to be for the money, forced change or just to get a quick turnaround and hopes for another job offer.
Poindexter at UVA makes sense. He was a heckuva player and has done well as a coach.

Thats not very nice or smart for you to post that. Tony Elliot is a man
that has a lot of Integrity ..he also has a degree in Electrical Engineering
and that's a very tough degree.He will get any job on his own merit. Lighten

Or maybe because he has a pretty good track record, he has won at the highest level, he is on one of the best staffs in the country, and has put alot of guys into the NFL.

Sit and talk with Tony like I was fortunate to do for two years at Michelin, you would learn Tony has what it takes to be successful. Very smart and personable.
