Yes he was out, but he was called safe because you can’t block the base. Wright was clearly doing that. Easy call for the ump and not controversial in the slightest.

Do you even know why they reviewed it?

It wasn’t a review to see if Wright tagged the runner before he got to the bag. It was to see if Wright was blocking the bag, which he clearly was, which is illegal. In they case it doesn’t matter if the runner is tagged before he reaches the bag, hes automatically safe.

Maybe that’s your opinion but that’s not the rule. You have to give the runner a path to the base before you have the ball.

Could not have been a non call and he could have been out. I’m basing this on all the bad calls I see one way or another.
