He is hardly coaching the team. No more than Woody is coaching for Dabo.
If JL is the reason we are winning we should have let him help Monte and saved $700K per year

It also helps that Bakich was given the budget to hire a premier pitching coach. Something Leggett was denied as he was being hung out to dry by DRad.

Pawlowski was an assistant at Clemson from 1994-1998. Leggett had tons of great assistants over his entire tenure. But, the amount of money being spent on baseball programs changed radically over the last ten years of his tenure. It was well discussed on these forums that Leggett was asked to look for a new pitching coach after each of his last two seasons. He was told there was no additional money and he refused to make a the move believing that, for the money being offered, he already had the best available. Baseball assistant salaries aren't the easiest to track down. But in 2016 Belanger made $170,000 at Kentucky (KENTUCKY!) when Leggett was only given $90,000 for the same position (Coach Pep made $90,000 his last season) a year earlier. In 2010, Alabama stole our pitching coach with a $100,000 salary. Leggett was set up for failure by Dan Radakovich because Dan saw absolutely no value in our baseball program.
