Has Dabo’s current recruiting philosophy become outdated!

College football recruiting has really changed over the past 2 years with Covid, transfer portal, players getting paid, and Clemson handing out very few offers. It appears it will be harder to get and keep commitments from these top recruits based on what has happened with college recruiting. Hope we can and will adjust so we don’t get left behind!

This is what we're going to gripe about today?
Maybe he won't evolve, but I'd bet the house that he will.

Some of our best team had very minimal five star talent, I’m sure Dabo will be just fine. Our program isn’t built on number one classes it’s built on work and effort. I’m dumbfounded how “fans” don’t realize we are only average QB play from being undefeated and the number one team in the country right now. People have been so spoiled that they can’t enjoy anything unless we are undefeated even though we have fought our way back to 8-3 it could be a lot worst. Plenty of programs would give up a lot to be 8-3 right now. Cades coming in next year and he’s either going to light a fire under DJ or he’s gonna take over. We have seen Dabo time and time again reload this program so trust the process.

I agree with you. Dabo is and will always be the MAN. Only a question I put out there for a discussion. Not intended to offend anyone especially Dabo!

Didn’t mean to come off that way either was just saying Dabo will get it figured out. At the same time I hope he sticks to his principles continuing to build our program. Georgia constantly has the number one class or right at it but haven’t won a title in forever. It’s more about who you got not how many’s stars they have.

Nothing wrong with the philosophy.
The truth about recruiting is the players recruiting players. The bring their friends.
Or if you have a talent like TL your going to get a few WRs because he can't get them the ball.
Also about half the kids you sign in a class don't work out the way you hoped. That true for every team. It's a crap shoot.

It's a fair question that has been discussed quite a bit on TNet. IMHO, Dabo has been slow to adjust based upon his core coaching beliefs and the great success he has had sticking to his beliefs. No doubt in my mind that Dabo will adjust this season -- because he prioritizes winning the right way.
