Has anyone you know ever killed somebody?
Dec 16, 2015, 8:17 AM
|
|
A guy I know killed his wife Sunday (They were separated, probably because of the sex with a minor charges they tacked on when they picked him up). I didn't know him well, but I have had interaction with him, and in church settings. It's probably been three or four years since I've seen them.
The wife has two daughters (not by him)...probably victims of those previous crimes as well as this one.

cut their bodies up, put them in 55 gallon steel drums, and dumped them into Lake Hartwell.
Also, a guy I played HS basketball with murdered someone about a year ago.

yeah, but by what circumstances do you mean?
Dec 16, 2015, 8:23 AM

I know a few who were involved in accidents.
A couple who did as a result of a car accident, another one was a hunting accident.
I know some war combat veterans (who probably did, not 100% sure), and a SLED undercover agent who has shot people before.
None who murdered somebody though.

my parents' neighbor's son flipped his #### in 2000 or so

killed his gf (they were in their 50's?) by stabbing her 30-something times, drove to his mom's house (my parents' neighbor - she was in the hospital at the time, one of the causes of his mental state), crawled up onto a couch stored above the garage w/ his truck running and took an eternal nap.
My dad found him, when his brother was worried about him and asked my dad to go check the house.

When you see comments like "I hope he rots" and "fry him" when it's someone you know. Not that I don't think he should be executed if found guilty, but it feels different.
Makes you think.

Shot and killed his wife a few years ago. She came home with their young son without bringing him something to eat, and he killed her right in front of their son. She was manager of that pizza place on the edge of Pendleton.

Seriously, I've caught people in my backyard twice in the past week or so late at night. There's been 6 murders, 4 or 5 armed robberies, and an armed standoff with police all within miles of my house in recent months. Neighbors have had problems with their mail being stolen, too. Looking at moving next year.

Yeah. One of the engineers that I worked with had a house that he rented to one of the facilities guys. The guy was late on his rent so he killed the engineer and used drum liners to wrap up and dispose of the body. The investigation went on for months and during this time said facilities guy was assigned to my department. Outwardly he seemed like a really nice guy. Some people can hide there true self really well.

..when I was 12 years old I almost shot a sniper....
Dec 17, 2015, 10:24 PM
|
|
....it was during one of my dad's dove hunts on the farm. I got tired of standing up with my Remington automatic .410 gauge shotgun, so I decided to sit down. When I did and was adjusting the gun as it lay across my lap, I grabbed the trigger by accident and "let loose a round". About 50 yards away, on the bank of my dad's pond, in the line of fire, sat Larry, a Vietnam vet from Nixville who served as a sniper in the 101st Airborne and told me he'd killed 28 people in Nam.
Larry (shouting): "..hey, what the f%ck?????"
Me(shouting); "..sorry about that..."
Larry (shouting): "...well how about watch what the F%CK you're doing..!!!!"
I think I came close to being Number 29 that day! I miss Larry, he was a good fellow.....
