And the hashes on the b'ball court actually have meaning.

I can't tell you the number of times I have fumed over his calls where he told us a RB reached the hashes but he waits until the end of the run to tell us if it was even a positive play. Argh! I don't care about the d@&* hashes! Players don't care about hashes! Only refs and announcers care about hashes. Tell me if he gained 4 yards!

I guess I'm saying Amen to the OP, since you brought it up.
