Has anyone else had this problem with Roku & YouTubeTV?

This only happens with YouTube TV. I open YTTV...it opens just fine...I go to the channel guide and select a channel...the channel won't load! I have to reset my Roku box and the channel then loads just fine. Again, this only occurs in YouTube TV...not in regular YouTube or any other program. This used to occur only occasionally...now almost every time!

So far, it hasn't happened to me. Just a thought, have you tried rebooting your router?

I also watch YouTube TV on my laptop, and I never have a problem with the channels loading.

Probably not. Roku and YouTube TV need to get together and resolve the problems that still linger from their disputes.

Something similar happened to me (Youtube TV), so I went to "home" and went all the way to the right to the "settings" cog wheel symbol clicked on the "Firestick" box. I thin clicked on something like "restart Firestick" and it worked. Last night my picture was a little fuzzy though and I could not make it come in as sharp as usual.

Almost a year ago, I upgraded to the Roku Ultra 2020 and that is when the problem started...only occasionally until a week or so ago, when it started doing it all the time!

Roku Ultra with an SD Card and two more Roku3’s in the other rooms. No issues w YTTV.
When I got the warning of their dispute I made sure I had an SD Card w all the channel apps saved so as not to have any issues. I guess its working.

Not sure if you are traveling but YouTubeTV has know problems about viewing outside your "home area" (where you first registered your Roku) Currently I can not watch the game because I am outside my home area. I am more than a little pissed. If you have the little location bubble in each channel window that is what that means.

About once every few months YOUTUBETV won't load or some channel won't. I unplug the TV, wait a few seconds, plug it in and all is well. Guess that resets things.

Yes and the only thing I have found to fix that is exit the App and then go back into it.

take some coaxing to get it back to the program. FF or play usually works, then you have to FF to where the program is.

I have the same set up … no problems. You could delete the app and reload it.

I have one Roku that gets stuck launching the app. It still works if I go the backdoor route of launching from inside the regular YT app. My other Roku Ultras still work fine. I expect the situation will get worse as Google can’t make changes to the app as Roku keeps pushing updates to their OS. I just wish the two parties would resolve their dispute, but in December Google also will have the main YT app agreement expiring. Then things will really start to get critical.

all of the updates to no avail. A lot of apps, not just YouTube TV, wouldn't load, or took forever to load. Everything was slowing down. Broke down and bought a new Firestick and that fixed it. It still helps if I unplug the Firestick and let everything reset about once a month; everything runs a little faster and cleaner when I do. I think it's just where we are - the hardware struggles to keep up.

Not that issue, but I have a vizio smart cast that will run youtube tv for about 5 minutes and then freezes. I have to power down to get any response from tv. I called the technical support and they said it was a known issue and they would contact me when it was resolved. I dropped the service and have hulu for now and no issues.

Can’t stand roku boxes, I have many customers that complain about them. Get an Amazon fire cube works a lot better. Also ditch YouTube tv and check out 8kstreaming company. I pay 30 bucks for programming on four fire sticks, get every channels, sports game, ppv, and movie known to man all in HD and never buffers
