It's just another one for us.

I don't consider this just another game. We haven't been a home dog in a long time and UL has been playing lights out. I think the winner of this game will win the ACC and go to the playoff. It's a big game to be sure.

Louisville will lose this game and the Houston game mostly because of the mismatches on the interior lines

He actually said the exact same thing about the Florida State game when Louisville played FSU 2 weeks ago.

Well that is what usually happens when building a team to compete with the big dogs. They will get close but no cigar when those steps start to get closer to the top. The closer you get, the tougher the competition gets. They will most likely hang around if there is no coaching changes until that special season comes along. Just like it has been with us the past few years. It takes a very special season with everything falling in place the same year when you get close to the top. Winning the big one is the hardest game to win in college FB even when you have the best team on the field. Everything was there for us last year except for that little bit of luck that it takes to win it all!!!

Harold who?

Oct 1, 2016, 7:55 AM

How about Howard Schnellenberger? I think he was more successful than that Harold guy mentioned in the article.

As Clemson fans are very aware, unless you are Alabubba, some seasons carry unmatchable importance which separate the entire meaning of "a season". When the season began for Louisville, we lived life as an adorable underdog pick - a potential playoff gate crasher owing to how we ended our season last year.

Opening the year with the absurdity of Lamar producing 8 TD's in a half, thence to the whipping of Cuse (a somewhat traditional rival from Big East days) and then wandering into the desert, facing what was then the largest impediment to sustained success - the Noles - gave us one of the biggest games in terms of implications for a mind-altering season. This is what Paul is referring to. And now this game, lol..........hopefully and probably a seriously awesome game for the ages.

Inasmuch as we stand a puncher's chance to win this game, it could possible then result in the matchup being somewhere more important and so on...until Clemson turns out to have been the 3rd or 4th most important game of the year, lol.

You guys were there just last season. I am speaking to the choir, lol. Please do not sneer at poor Louisville, thinking this is the largest game ever for them. That is just o humiliating!!

Love Clemson fans, like most other Louisvillians. You have made the entry into the ACC a warm and fuzzy successful feeling and we have endeavored to return the favor at home. The Clemson fan base (perhaps outside of message boards, lol) has been a beautiful revelation. So glad to share the conference with such good folks, and that's sincere.

I'm pretty sure the article screwed up his name and that was supposed to be Schnellenberger. Wasn't Schnellenberger their coach when they won the Fiesta Bowl?
