Happy for V, but what now at DC...

Dec 6, 2021, 6:10 PM

Not saying the sky is falling, but I don't have a clue as to who we should pursue at DC. Haven't had to consider it for a decade, so the question for the panel is Who should be the next man up?

I have only one potential name: Gary Patterson (but it was ugly at the end w/ TCU so it may be right to question if he still has the passion for the game. Don't know if he should even be considered but looking forward to the conversation.

Thanks for your feedback!

It's probably going to be internal for both. Dabo has planned this for some time knowing we would lose our coordinators.

I would rather have Coach BV’s apprentice than another teams problem. Our Defense wasn’t broken and we didn’t fire Venables, he was poached.
The offense is another story all together and needs a shakeup

My Two Pennies.........

I would like to see Dabo offer Don Brown the DC job!

Like others have said, "he will likely hire from within; but I could easily see Don Brown coming to Clemson from Umass"! Before being HC at UMass he was the DC at Michigan! Michigan was either 1 or two during his time there; behind Clemson's defense. He would have better talent to work with at Clemson than he did at Michigan top to bottom!

Won't happen; but I think he could pick up at or close to where BV left off.
