South Carolina hurts our strength of schedule every season. We could add Ohio State,Norte Dame or Southern Cal and be much better off. They are in the $EC in name only and drag them down too. Welfare school of the $EC.

but my answer would be no. I find it very satisfying to beat them. As far them hurting our SOS is concerned their presence on our schedule hasn’t prevented us from getting into the playoff or bowls.

IDK.... I kinda like delivering misery to that retched program and forcing them to fire a coach when they can't afford the buyout.
However, since they are a pay-to-play school in the SEC, why are we ever traveling to coolumbia and risking sepsis for our alumni? It should be only in death valley. They should play in a place were your the toilet seats are not bolted to the outhouse.

playing uof6c does not provide any real benefit to Clemson.
Sure, it's an easy win but their program is beneath Clemson in literally every facet of the game and that trend is not going to change any time in the foreseeable future.
Other than continuing to beat a mud hole in them and then stomp it dry, keeping them on the schedule is just dragging down Clemson's strength of schedule ranking.

from local coot fans about how they would kill us now since they play in the SEC and have no actuall evidence on the field.. I mean the beauty of playing SC every year is, yes we have to hear that every year, but at the end we get to settle it on the field and.... just look at the overall record. It's worked out well for Clemson over the years. But if there was no retribution and game to squash the noise...it would be sickening.

Agreed!
Imagine if the only thing you had to brag about was "that one time at band camp" and beating Clemson 5 in a row and having that 1 player that one time that was good.
They "terrible" and beating that butt never gets old to me. It does hurt our SOS; but strengthen it somewhere else.

Pretty sure the team insurance cost would drop. Going into Cootlumbia vs. flying across the country. I think most insurance goes down the further away you go.

We don’t owe in state teams games. They do what’s best for them when they play us and all we get are parking fees and increased Dip-n-Dot sales. Playing (the real) USC and other traditional powers is best for us.
