Big mistake. Makes me want to go back. In my mind, I feel like I could just throw a backpack over my shoulder and slip right back in. But I'm older than many of the faculty now, so that just wouldn't work. Sure do miss those days, though. Good times.
You know how people have recurring dreams about finding out they're having a test they didn't study for and such? Mine is always set at Clemson and I'm a senior, getting ready to graduate and in my last semester, and I find out or remember that I was signed up for a class all semester that I never went to and needed it to graduate. I spend much of the dream trying to find the class and the professor and never have any luck. There are worse recurring dreams to have, but it's always a stressful one! At least I had my clothes on in the dream!

That’s really interesting. I am 71 and have a similar dream several times. Not sure why.

In mine, I am always back in high school and I can't remember the combination to my locker, or where my class is located. My dreams about Clemson are generally more "social" in nature than academic

Finished HS in "60. Still have recurring nightmares about end of 12th grade and didn't know locker combo that I hadn't opened all year and needed to get book out to return.

That's funny, because I have very similar reoccurring dreams! Mine, also includes me not going to class all semester, and trying to figure out how to pass it. All while not even knowing where the classroom is!

I'm 93 and I've had the same dream. Recently I dreamed that a friend was trying to get me to take a really great job and I was arguing that I'm to old and he kept insisting that I could handle it. I then tried to negotiate a midmorning start time because retirement has allowed me to sleep in.

I did come back and I don’t have any dreams like that. In January 2020, after 35+ years in industry, I came back to work with students on campus. It is a lot of fun and maybe it’s helping keep those dreams away.

What kind of work on campus? I just retired from the corporate world. Both of our kids are now Clemson students. I hope to spend more time in Clemson the next few years.

I was in the dairy industry for 35 years and now I work with the students in the 55 Exchange/Clemson Ice Cream program. Much less stress than managing large food processing operations.

I'm frantically running around Martin Hall trying to find a certain professor. All the offices are locked and dark and I can't find him anywhere. Everybody has gone home and the campus is empty. I need to turn in a project that counts for half the grade... I'll flunk and not graduate if I can't get it turned in. I wake up in a panic and then realize it's just a dream...

Man -- This is scary -- I have many of the dreams posted on here -- high school -- can't remember locker # or combination --In undergrad and worrying about a class I need to pass - can't remember room # or time and am afraid to go to registrar and ask. All the while knowing I had graduated from Clemson Grad School. Minds are a crazy thing!!!

Ditto to having had these kind of dreams only I find I show up to class in pajamas. I’m mortified and have no idea how I’m going to pass the exam. Haven’t been to class all semester but need it to graduate. Thankfully haven’t had one in years. Someone told me they are anxiety related. Definitely felt anxious in the dream.
