He moved down the lineup to 5 tonight for the first time. I feel like he will stay in just because of the potential. But you are correct he seems to be in his own head at this point. But remember Beer slumped in his second season as well when pitchers began to focus on him more. Hopefully they can continue to work with him so that he is not such a strikeout machine.

I am not ready to pass judgement on the coaching staff yet because he was hitting fine during the Indiana series. Now it seems he is trying to swing for the fences every time which would be the reason for the high strikeout number. Coaching can only go so far. At some point Grice has to take control and be accountable.

broadcasting what pitch is coming. He is either guessing wrong all the time, or just not seeing the ball at all. Pretty much an automatic out at this point. Hope he gets it together soon.

If I was him, I would be wearing out a pitching machine taking extra batting practice. Especially if he can find one to throw him diving curve balls.

The pitching machines that Clemson uses will throw any type of pitch that a pitcher could possibly throw.

Lack of availability is not the problem.
