Greatest moments for you in each Clemson sport and why......

Yes I know this is posted on football board, mostly because Clemson football is my favorite sport and holds the strongest memories for me. So what is your favorite moment in each respected sport you wish to mention.
Football- Obviously there are many moments that make it hard to choose. From 63-17 to the thrashing of the "best" team ever in Alabama. Yet it really is a dead even tie between our first National Championship over Nebraska and our second one winning with no time left over Alabama. The first came as 12 year old boy just learning to fall in love with sports and it solidified my lifelong love for the Tigers. The second was just a thrilling and amazing game. An ebb and flow and just a will to win, even when we did not play like the better team that night.
Mens Basketball- Quite a few moments here to choose from. Growing up in NC all my friends were Tarheel fans or Duke fans. The win I believe it was 1990 season maybe over UNC was very thrilling as I sat with 10 of my friends, all UNC fans as we prevailed in a very fun victory. The greatest moment for me however was when Terrence Oglesby went off on Maryland 03/02/08. That amazing 3 at the buzzer was etched forever in my mind.
Men's baseball- Several times stand out. Harder one to judge here because of it not being on TV often and my distance to Clemson. Still my favorite moment came when I attended a game and Kris Benson was pitching and was just stellar as usual. Obviously we won and later attended a minor league game where I met him and got an autographed baseball.
Women's basketball- With three ACC championships, which all seem so long ago, I would have to say winning the ACC championship in 1999 would be my favorite.
Mens soccer- Easily this past years championship game was like a long justification for the "just about" years. Yes I know we won championships earlier, but was not able to watch them.
Womens softball- Honestly every game that we win is amazing right now. So glad we have a team now. Love watching them play. It was amazing on my recent trip to California and turning on TV and seeing the Lady Tigers win was thrilling to show my 8 year old softball loving little girl.
Golf- Sorry I cheer for our men and ladies but is hard for me to watch. Used to love to play but hard for me to watch.
Bass fishing- Oh wait I am not a gamecock fan.......Though I do love to fish!! jk Go Tigers of the Lakes
Share your thoughts and stories... love to hear about other Tigers memories and cannot wait for the Natty win in Cali this year!!!

2016 National championship was the greatest.
But the 63-17 was amazing for me because I was at a mostly gamecoot dominant watch party.

oh 2012 ACC championship game was awesome too. I’ll never forget those turkeys chanting “what do we eat? tiger meat!” up the concourse on the way in. Then all the Clemson fans chanting “what do we eat? turkey meat!” on the way out. Throwing and eating the oranges. The cadence being chanted everywhere. Man that was a great game.

There has been many in my loooong life but that amazing win over the Irish during the typhoon was a special night for me. You just had to be there to experience the feeling.

For me it is the 1943 Basketball game against Presbyterian. Virgil Jones rolled left, passed to Rocky Hawkins and we won at the buzzer. It was the only game we won that year.

Football is first, of course, but 1987 was special as well. Watching the Clemson soccer team win the national championship at home was amazing!
Softball has been very exciting since the beginning. We couldn't have asked for more from the team and coaches.

Football 2016 national championship, I’m still in disbelief of that one and waiting on a flag to be thrown and negate the TD.
Basketball… the win over Duke in the ACCT semi finals. My granddad died in his sleep that night at 90 years old and died happy after watching that one, holds a special place to me, and was a huge win.

Tampa Championship

Already mentioned by several above and for good reason. I have been fortunate enough to attend all the football national championship games involving Clemson, starting in 1981 as a recent grad. Many great moments in many sports, but the first memory that always comes to mind is the final drive in the game in Tampa. We were there with over a dozen family members and friends and were some of the last to leave the parking lot (had to finish the cigars). Great game. Great time. Great memories. I will post the link below for at least the third time.

I was just a few rows higher up yelling to DeShaun “You got 3 seconds to throw it! Count to 3 and throw it!”

In Basketball: I believe it was back in 1967 in our beloved "Cow Palace" with a sellout crowd of around 4,500 present when we beat Number 1 ranked Duke and their all-american guard Steve Vacendek!!!! What a night that was and that venue really "rocked" that night!!!!

Football is really tough for me. Has to be either the 16 natty or that year’s Louisville game. Basketball is the 2020 Duke game. Most fun I’ve ever had in LJC. UNC at Chapel Hill that year is a close second, also cool because I killed my first duck that day. Baseball is Seth Beer 2-strike, 2 out bomb to beat UofSC in 2017

Football-2016 natty in Tampa. Omg I will never forget it. That game was just a roller coaster of emotions and to win like that was just unbelievable. I’ve never been so happy after a sporting event.
Basketball-taking it way back and I can’t recall the exact year but we beat #1 Duke at Littlejohn and I want to say it was around 1979-1980. I was at that game and it was exciting.
Soccer-I was a student in 1984 when we won the national championship but wasn’t really a soccer fan but was really proud of the team. I think the win earlier this year was the most exciting to me especially with the player from Rock Hill scoring both of our goals.
