Unfortunately, she is in her Covid year. She played 3 seasons at Florida.

Yeah, she gone. If she was able... We'd be good. Felt good to get the W. Even with taking a 4th qtr rally. Got some height and shooters coming in. Next year major strides, definitely NCAA. If not, got to cut her loose. May need to this year depending on what was going on in the Locker room.

Now the other COVID transfer is gone. Latrise Seine was not at the game today. I checked the roster online and she has already been removed from the roster. Can Butler be faulted for not realizing she was recruiting a couple of players who would fold their tents and go home when adversity hit much less give up a free graduate degree. Yes. But I like the fact she is demanding and it is obvious the girls that are left enjoy playing with each other. Unless she is able to find a couple of quality transfers, I don't think she will get to the NCAA next year even with the recruiting class she is bringing in. I have seen tape on all them except Whitehorn. They look good but they are playing against inferior competition. We'll see how they stack up against ACC quality players. I think a winning season and conference record and a run in the WNIT would be good progress. I want her to succeed because I am concerned we're becoming the women's version of Kansas football. Her past record indicates she can coach. I'm willing to give her a little more time. If she can't meet those expectations, I think I would call NC State and see if one of those Clemson alums sitting in the Asst. Coaches chairs are interested.

https://clemsontigers.com/womens-basketball-signs-three-to-2022-class/Women’s Basketball Signs Three to 2022 Class Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s basketball head coach Amanda Butler and her staff announced the addition of Tadassa Brown (Lansing, Mich./Columbia Central HS), Ale’jah Douglas (Omaha, Neb./Western Nebraska CC) and Ruby Whitehorn (Detroit, Mich./Detroit Edison Public Academy) to National Letters of Intent (NLI) to join Team 48 and begin play for the Tigers in 2022-23. This year's signing class is ranked 19thby the All-Star Girls Reports (ASGR) and 18th in the JR All-Star 2022 National class rankings. Tadassa Brown • Post • 6-3 • Lansing, Mich. • Columbia Central HS Ranked No. 125 on ASGR…averaged 11 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 2.1 bpg…1st Team All-LCAA and All-State BCAM (Michigan) Best Selection last year. Coach Butler on Brown “She makes us bigger and that’s always a good thing. From a basketball standpoint, this is a young woman that will make us bigger in the paint. She’s an outstanding person whose best basketball is ahead of her and she’s a tremendous amount of untapped potential. I think we’re going to see her blossom into a great ACC competitor. I knew that I wanted her to be a part of our program because of who she is and her who factor. The things she’s about, the way she loves people, the way she sees life, she fits with the way that we do things, and she is 100% a TLC.” Ale’jah Douglas • Guard • 5-6 • Omaha, Neb. • Western Nebraska CC The No. 1 JUCO player and No. 1 JUCO point guard on Collegiate Girls Basketball Report by Dan Olson…averaged 19 ppg, 5 apg, 4 spg and 2:1 assist/turnover ratio…NJCAA Academic All-American…NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American. Coach Butler on Douglas “Super dynamic scorer and an elite competitor. A student of the game and will be one of the most dynamic points guards to play the position. She is one of the top JOCO players in the country. She has an elite mindset and plays fearlessly. She will be a fantastic addition to our backcourt.” Ruby Whitehorn • Guard • 6-0 • Detroit, Mich. • Detroit Edison Public Academy Ranked No. 15 overall according to ESPN’s HoopGurlz rankings…Ranked No. 27 in the Jr. All-Star Player Rankings…averaged 19.5 ppg, 12.5 rpg., 3.5 steals…AP Division 2 1st team All-State (Michigan)…Detroit Free Press Division 2 1st team All-State…currently ranked the No. 1 player in the state of Michigan…ranked No. 13 on ASGR (All-Star Girls Report). Whitehorn was also named to the 2022 Jersey Mike’s Naismith High School Trophy Girls Watch List. Coach Butler on Whiteborn “Ruby is just a huge addition to our family. She is ranked very high and that’s great, but she is even more impactful than where ESPN has her ranked. She is in that elite category of perimeter players. She’s got size, she’s got length, and she’s got a broad skillset. She fits our style of play, she fits our culture, she’s a Clemson kid. She has high aspirations academically and I think she chose us for the right reasons and that she’ll be a tremendous addition to our family.”
