Gotta love James Skalski...

Dec 29, 2021, 10:24 PM

After he left the game with the injury, he spent the rest of the game coaching the young linebackers on the sideline. Every time one would come off the field, they went straight to him. You could see him teaching.

I'd love to see him get a staff position before he ever leaves Clemson. I think he could translate his dedication and drive into being a great LB coach or DC someday. I appreciate everything he's done for Clemson. Thanks, JS47.

I thought for sure I heard an interview already saying he was going to be a G.A. if the NFL doesn't come calling.
He's for sure going to be a heck of a coach! I'm going to call it: the dude if he goes to H.S. first will win at least a couple state titles.
If he stays at the college level: he will be a fast riser in the coaching ranks after paying dues as a position coach and analyst first.

at Clemson. I was about 8 then. Now I'm retired. He has been a great Tiger for many years. ;)

Wasn’t he also a backup kicker his freshman year or willing to try out for it??

He, Spector, and Venables were all locked in like coaches on the sideline

I noticed that too!

Very telling about what type of guys they are! It was awesome to see honestly in a time when so many people are "me-me-me-people"!

The last time I checked “Walter Football” Skalski was rated as a top 10 pick at either ILB or OLB. I hope he gets a chance. He deserves it and NFL coaching staffs would no doubt love a guy with his drive and knowledge of the game. That said, we would all love to see him back at Clemson in some coaching spot.

Go Tigers! Go Skalski!

Scouting Report: Summary

Skalski is a solid if unspectacular player who will likely be looked at as a late-round prospect in the 2022 NFL Draft. He's a smart great effort player, but undersized with only average athletic ability and unlikely will be viewed as an NFL-level starter.

Pretty accurate summary. He just doesn’t have the measurables, physically, to make in the nfl. I hope he gets a GA spot. He would be a great asset!

When his playing days are over he will make a tremendous coach. Hope he has a nice career in the NFl 1st though.

With the tenacity Skalski plays with, I think he’s got a shot at an NFL roster even if it’s mostly on special teams. Dude is a gamer. As soon as he is done with his NFL dreams, guarantee there’s a GA position with his name on it on this staff. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s our next DC

If he’s interested in coaching, I guarantee you that Dabo

has a spot for him.

What a heart! What a LB mentality! I expect he will get healthy and try to walk on an NFL team.

IS11 said last year if he could take any player from Clemson with him to the Arizona Cardinals, it would be Skalski!

Just a little faster and a little bigger and he'd be a 2nd round pick.

Like you said, seeing JS47 as a GA would be welcome!

He would make a great GA!***

IMO if he doesn't make a lucrative NFL draft (which I think he will) then I believe DS will give him a GA position. Either route, he is a leader.
