to be not true. OR, it could turn out like Lil' Nicky Saban saying "I am NOT going to be the next coach at ALABAMA. I think we all know how that one turned out.
I have absolutely no info about it, but I would say in at least general terms, if Clemson is NOT putting out some sort of feelers behind the scenes, shame on us. The landscape of college football already is, football is the grass, and the SEC is the lawnmower.
And, once Texas and Oklahoma join, that will be even more true.
The SEC, seems to me, is like the Borg. We will all be assimilated. Unless Dabo can pull a Picard out of his hat........

According to a report about an interview with the FSU director Clemson and FSU have contacted the SEC. Stating they don't want to leave the ACC but want to stay ahead of anything that could happen. If FSU leaves the ACC it would be detrimental to Clemson and vice versa. Also said that the amount of money that it would cost to switch it would have to be a very good monetary incentive to leave.

Notre Dame join the ACC so we can not have to look around. I agree with what Pack said today. Basically, go ahead and enjoy all crowding up in that conference. It is a heck of a conference. We will just stay over here and see you in the playoff. It's been working out great so far. And look how its worked out for the coots.
I know with the difference in revenue and the changing landscape a lot of things are up in the air. I sure hope Notre Dame joins and then the ACC remains at 15 or either invites WVU for 16. That would be more than enough to secure the conference. Might take a little hit in recruiting for not being in the SEC, but multiple playoff appearances with offset that. If the landscape shifts to two 32-team leagues, then we would have to go to BIG or SEC, but I just don't see that happening for a long time.

Lets not forget all the top elite recruits that we lose only bc we're not in the SEC. Get those with what we already get, and Clemson would most likely lead the SEC beside, or even ahead of Bama!!!!!!!

I completely agree. I hate the SEC and really do not want to go that route, but the administration at this point needs to explore all avenues as to what is best for Clemson and Clemson only. This includes talking to the Big 10 the SEC etc.

Sounds like most of us are on the same page. There is another danger, if the SEC would pick off one of the ACC bigger programs besides us that would leave the ACC really weak and unattractive in many ways. I am guessing these schools are talking to the SEC right now.

If we want to hear and see a lot of screaming, all of the teams in the other Power 5 conferences should vote for a four tram playoff and no more than one team from a conference in the final four. This is nothing but a power grab that will do more harm than good for the future of collegiate football.
