Goodwin and the defense

Gave up a handful of big plays. People are mad we lost so that is what they remember. The defense scored 9 points. Got multiple turnovers and had a key goal line stand after giving up a long play.
They also had to deal with a short field after a turnover on a free kick after they scored. What a momentum killer.
The defense got the ball back twice at the end of the game when we were down by one.
The defense played more than well enough to win the game.
The offensive play calling and turnovers lost that game not the defense.

Everything you say is true but we failed to put Rattler on his ###. With our roster that’s inexcusable. Judging the season as a whole this defense failed to live up to potential. Goodwin was handed a loaded defense and we underperformed. I saw nothing during the season that tells me he will be able to construct a defense as personnel changes from year to year.

It’s similar to when Spurrier handed a loaded defense to Lorenzo Ward after Ellis Johnson left to be a HC.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.


Both sides of the ball are a monumental disappointment

The three and outs by the offense kill the defense every game.
