May 12, 2013, 8:18 PM

What do you guys recommend? I've read quite a few lately and I'm ready to start another one.

Here are 3 I highly recommend

Football: "Friday Night Lights"- been around but great book
Golf: "Tales from Q-School" by John Feinstein- Q-School is no longer around but these are great stories. He took the best section from "A Good Walk Spoiled" which was the Q-School & wrote a whole book on it.
Baseball: "Bottom of the 33rd" by Dan Berry- Story about the game & players in the longest game ever recorded, a AAA minor league game in the early 80s. Fantastic stories about the players & a few names you'll certainly recognize participated in this game.

These are a few off the top of my head.

"Pros and Cons - The Criminals who play in the NFL" by Jeff Benedict and Don Yaeger. Describes the criminals in the NFL, their crimes, and who and why they are still playing. Published in 1998.
