It shows an ACC Big 10 merger would be very valuable to us and whatever TV network we aligned with. Of course we know ESPN is driving the realignment. Good article, thanks for sharing.

Nice article, but I'm quite shocked uscjr is listed at 17, ahead of

fsu 21
usc 23
and many others

Their metrics have to be suspect.

You have to plus in two things:

1. The SEC factor.\
2. The unrealistic belief Gamecock fans keep. They spend money on their team because they have the belief it's going to get better!
3. Their Stadium is ranked where in attendance yearly? And is ranked where in terms of size? It's up there last I checked. \

I think they must have taken outside things like that into consideration over the product on the field. Had to have been! We are talking about the folks that wanted to tip $5 for over a thousand dollars worth of pizza.

South Carolina is ranked high based on the recent Wall Street Journal valuation and home attendance.

Clemson is dragged down some due to the market valuation by Nate Silver done over 10 years ago. If that was redone today, Clemson would be several spots higher. Maybe even top 10.

The study shows Clemson to be the 14th most valuable college football 'franchise' which sounds about right to me.

Clemson has very clearly outperformed 7 of the 13 programs ranked above us by a considerable amount over the last 10 years. Our coach is young and has a bright future. If Clemson were a stock, I'd buy it over more than half the teams in the country who the study says are more valuable.

I find the idea that South Carolina is ranked as high as they are an incredibly foolish assessment of their franchise value. If SC was a stock, smart people would sell it today.
