I would argue that this is probably a better hire than the VT Fuente hire.

Is this a lateral move? dont know much about BYU but they

I read some stuff that said BYU fans were actually

Getting fed up with Him. They Didjt think he was innovative enough on offense. Blamed injuries too much and could not beat their rival Utah to save his life

Sometimes it's time for a change...I like the hire especially if he brings in a young OC

also heard that he was upset with

BYU administration for not being aggressive in pursuing joining the Big 12. He thinks them being independent is useless.

I agree. Great hire for UVA. Their AD is getting things done, Elite in almost every sport and now has made this hire

UVa fans might say otherwise (regarding the AD).

Dec 5, 2015, 1:03 AM

Littlepage, their AD, was the one who hired Al Groh and Mike London. Set the school back for 15 years as UVa didn't have a losing record for 14 straight years before George Welsh retired. After Littlepage took control, the football program has had 10 losing seasons out of the last15 years, 5 alone from Mike London's 6 years.

Basketball and baseball are the best there is, though. Tony Bennett was a perfect hire.

They've also won national titles in

Dec 5, 2015, 2:10 AM

Men's soccer, men's tennis, lacrosse in the last 5 years. Their wonens soccer team was#1 a lot of the year this year. Their men's tennis team hasn't lost an ACC match since 2007 (they nearly dropped tennis in the early 2000s and then they hired Brian Boland who turned them into an absolute powerhouse).

Baseball national champs
Wrestling top25.

Basically only football has been poor. And yes that may be the top sport but at UVA, football is not as much a part of the culture as it is at other schools
