Gonzaga basketball = Clemson football

Both are non traditional blue blood programs who have slowly built their programs by toppling the giants of their perspective sports. Now they’re both amongst the best in the nation.

Gonzaga is more like UGA, to date...same nickname and no titles in 40+ years, despite perceived elite talent. Don't get me wrong...I like the Zags, but...the fact remains.

They weren’t very good with Stockton

Gonzaga has been a name to know in college hoops since I could remember (and that's over 20 years of somewhat keeping up with college bball)

They were unheard of until they first made the NCAA tournament in 1995. They turned into a powerhouse as Clemson languishes in mediocrity. I’ve actually been to the campus,, a tiny school in Spokane Washington. If they can be a basketball power, so can Clemson. They have no recruiting or geographical advantages over Clemson
