while it’s fresh on my mind.

So I was watching the Ol’ Miss/ GaTech pregame broadcast. The commentators description of Ol’ Miss’ 2021 season? “Impressive, Great, Historic”. Ol’Miss went 10-3, losing their Bowl Game to Baylor.

Clemson goes 10-3, wins their Bowl Game and it’s, “Disappointing, Bad, Tough”.

The problem is, both descriptions are overtly false. One positive, one negative and the ignorant audience believes both.

Take it as a compliment. Clemson is the 2nd most successful program in the playoff era. If Bama was 10-3 they’d say the same. Comes with the territory.

I think it's all relative to expectations for each program. If the coots would have went 10-3 this year it would be well deserved for similar comments. If we go 10-3 this year the comments will be negative. They will say our time has passed.

How many Playoffs or National Championships has Miss. won the last 7 years? Stop worrying about what other teams do and be proud of our team because us being 10-3 was absolutely disappointing after the last few years.
