If you aren't willing to get your QB some weapons, that QB will hit the portal himself. It's a new age and you have to be willing to hurt feelings and pull scholarships for better players today.

Yet, we barely have 3 that can actually help us and no super stars.
We have too many players in general that do not provide anything way way of helping us achieve a national championship team.
Recruiting as been sliding and anyone who isn't a complete homer knows that.

Great post!! Spot on! The WR room is full of midgets we had no business recruiting or having on the team anyway. When Jeff Scott left, the WR recruiting went in the tank and has never recovered. We also began giving schollies to little slow people because they work hard. The kiss of death over time, since you never bring in the Watkins, Higgins, Nuk WR as we were always doing before. After a few years, the WR room is filled with little 5'5" dudes who can't run, can't block, can't run patterns and couldn't catch a cold but they were kinda sorta good at Daniel HS and have no speeding tickets, so there's that, so sign em up!

You're whining about a spring PRACTICE that you didn't even attend and wouldn't have the knowledge to objectively review even if you did. It was a practice bud. Yes. We are over because we continue offering every Billy Madison look alike tbat can spell football. The game is played different now this group of WR'S scares no one on our schedule. Every team tbat is decent can play man to man and dare us to beat them. Reality check folks, this team with its limited offensive weapons wants nothing to do with a true top 5 team in a playoff setting. But hey, as Dabo tells us every year "winning tbe ACC is a big deal". Please!!

I'm not panicking and gloom and doom, but our WR's have underperformed horribly in the last 2-3 seasons. IF the continues THIS season, we won't make the CFP, and Dabo will need to address it like he did the OC position. We need to find the cause and fix it.
Same if this staggeringly talented defense underperforms as well.

We have SEVEN scholarship WRs out now - recovering from injuries or surgery. All are expected to be ready in the Fall.
Does that explain things to you?
Did you watch the Spring game and hear Dabo explain that?

One guy has been injured for two years now. Another guy plays baseball and been injured but didn't show much promise. One is Dabo's son. Another has been on the team for three years but hasn't done much. One was a true freshman last year and looked the best on the entire team. One was another true freshman that was hurt and when he did play wasn't impressive. One looked like crap today in the spring game. One was an over-looked brother of a player who might be ok.

If Stellato can finally get healthy he’s as good as anyone. There is a reason OSU was really pissed they missed on him, and with two years in the program and never playing that’s like brining in a stud transfer portal guy. To be fair to your point though, he could be a never was with his health issues. Randall is another one if he gets healthy AND in football shape can be that Higgins, Nuk, Williams, healthy JRoss type of guy, we all had unrealistic expectations for him because we got spoiled by Amari Rogers and how he healed and produced so fast after his ACL tear, but remember Rogers had been in the program for 2 years already at that point and his body and training were already developed at a collegiate level, Randall was a true freshman (basically a senior in high school when he tore his. Also look for Hanafin to come in and make an immediate impact, dude is a stud.
TL;DR. We got dudes, we’ve just forgotten about them and had a perfect storm injuries and just some bad luck the last couple of years. Keep your head up, better days are ahead and we don’t need to bring them in from the TP.

bottom line is CLEMSON WRs are not even in the same universe as the WRs of the 2015-2019 era WRs healthy or not..............heck at this point I'd love to have a "post injury Justyn Ross" as opposed to the WRs we have now...........they're not WRU good, not by a long shot.
