Getting emotional

Jan 8, 2016, 6:10 PM

It's been such a journey. I know I'm not part of the team but it feels like it. I have been a fan since birth. My room has been purple and orange since I was 8 years old. 10 years ago I never could have imagined us being here. Yes we got into the top 10 in the late 2000s and we had some good years early on but we can say we are elite. We are a power house. We are for real. We are about to win the National Championship. We are Clemson!! We Too Deep!!!

We've only just begun. And the most emotional game is yet to come.

It's a great feeling!!! I believe in our boys to get it done Monday night and then on to the repeat. We are here to stay. It's a great time to be a Clemson Tiger! It's always been great but this is extra sweet. Thank you everyone on Tigernet and all tiger fans around the world I know we all feel the same way. Our time is now!

Told my boss today that I will not be in Monday. Wouldn't be worth a rip, too anxious to get the game on. Besides it would ruin all of my rituals for the game if I wasted my time going to work. Don't need to work, so they can fire me for all I care.

Yeah, it's hard to describe the feeling

when something you've waited for literally your entire life is only a few days from fruition.

Who knows how the game will go, it's been one hell of a ride either way.

That's been me as well. In my office today, watched the vid of buses leaving and go teary eyed. This is absolutely the best. And I firmly believe that this is only the beginning

I for one am glad you are stopping. You are one of the most ignorant posters ever. You obviously think very highly of your own opinion, unlike the rest of us - RockHillTiger

Same here. I was 19 years old when we won the title in 1981. I remember the game, the emotion and at 53 it is very different. I hope they can bring it home again. Not so much for me, but all those who have never shared in that feeling. They interviewed one father today at the West End Zone send off. He said he was at the 82 Orange Bowl, but he wasn't going to Arizona this time because he was sending his son to share in that joy. That was a great interview and for his sons sake and all the others who haven't been to the mountain top-I so hope they do it again.

We still got to get through this weekend. Now....

Jan 8, 2016, 7:30 PM

polish off some King Cobra or something and settle in until Monday night. Don't plan on sleeping any Monday night because we gonna party like it's 1981 again!

Go Tigers!!!

How do you keep Gamecocks out of your yard?
• Put up goal posts
What does a Gamecock grad call a Clemson Tiger grad in 2 years?
• Boss

I wish I could see a party like 81. We stayed at hotel in Fort Lauderdale and after the game we came back and had a party. The great part was I was 18 and we had these 3 beautiful teachers on the same tour bus that we all took to the game. They decided to go skinny dipping at 2 o'clock in the morning and I will never forget that night.
