Get over NFL players announcing their high school

instead of their college. Imagine how proud the students and staff at Oak Ridge High School are today because Tee Higgans mentioned their school during his super bowl introduction. I think it is great when players give a shout out to their high school.

Did he graduate from Clemson? Maybe it’s the last school you completed and not the last you attended?

I don't care what the HS kids think. I prefer that he helps Clemson recruit. That said, you are correct about getting over it. They aren't going to change, so there is nothing to think about anymore.

Most everyone remembers he played for Clemson in two National Championships especially the second one so his high school should get some attention too!

I frankly do not care which school they mention, but it does make me wonder why so many people were pulling for Cincinnati last night because there were 3 "former" Clemson players on the Bengals side versus only one on the Rams.
It also make me wonder ,however who these fans would pull for if it were the Raiders against, lets say Jacksonville and Hunter mentioned Clemson and Trevor mentioned Cartersville High.

For me it would be good either way on the Renfrow, TL match up. Bengals had 3 formers, Tiger mascot and orange. That was an easy one for me personally. ??

Maybe it was everyone online tweeting non-stop about Tee Higgins from Clemson the past 2 weeks that played into that.

Building the brand to attract top recruits is crucial for a public high school. I’m sure they needed the super bowl exposure more than some silly University would.

high school. The only reason I care to pay attention to the announcing of the starting line-ups, is to hear where they played college ball. I couldn't care less where they played high school ball!
As someone else suggested, if they want to recognize their high school, just say both!

I've heard them say their elementary school. It's just fun and a shout out to where they cam from Players have been doing it for over 30 years now.
