Georgia will not win a championship with all that talent

Feb 8, 2018, 10:08 AM

I keep hearing how this was the greatest class ever but they don't have the coaches to develop that talent into championships. Kirby is trying to build them to be like Bama, you can't mimick another program you have to be your own man. They will fail miserably like they always have.

Until Saban retires, UGA will not make playoffs again***

They won the SEC Championship already...

I hope not. Be fine with me if they never won another game.

UGa. will rule the SECe for awhile until UF and UT recruit and develop their respective talent. Saban will have Bama ahead in the west, but Smart and staff certainly will be capable of winning the SEC.

Go Tigers!

You poor coot.

Feb 8, 2018, 10:22 AM

Now your chickens have to play two powerhouses every year.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You may have a point.... you know some of them will get

Feb 8, 2018, 10:28 AM

arrested or thrown off the team. Uga has a bad history of trouble players.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

look i dont like competing with them on the recruiting trail

Feb 8, 2018, 10:29 AM

but they have some insane talent. They won SECCG in Kirby's second season. granted SEC was down this year but they still had a very very good team. They will compete for Championships year in and year out. If Kirby sticks around for a while (not get caught cheating) then they will be in the thick of it year in and year out.

Maybe we will get the chance to smash them on the field a few times in the process.

In that first Auburn hame you saw what they may also be capable of , which is being completely eviscerated by a good HUNH offense .
They're lucky that so far only a couple of teams in the SEC have gone to it . Nick Saban and his defensive disciples don't usually deal very well with a HUNH style run with an above avg to great QB

Wait, this is sarcasm, right?

Feb 8, 2018, 10:29 AM

They went to the title game last year and nearly (should have) won it then.

Does that not sound a bit like us a few years ago? And you're writing them off?

Seems odd to me.

Re: Wait, this is sarcasm, right?

Feb 8, 2018, 10:57 AM

Their losing 31 seniors. The defense loses 8 starters and a few backups from last year. The offense loses 5 starters and a couple of major contributors from last year that were backups. I see them winning the East this year but with 2 losses and a loss in the Championship. Even USuC won 9 games last year in the playing scrubs and the East. USuC kept the game close with UGA and that talent they had and should have lost to Louisiana Tech. Coach Smart did what he did with Coach Ritch's players now its time to show shat he can do with his own. I see a 9-4 or 10-3 season form them. Go Tigers.

He's in the SECleast,he'll win thast every year

Feb 8, 2018, 10:45 AM

Get the chance to play Bama in the SECCG for a Playoff spot.

Why do you doubt their coaches?*****

Re: Georgia will not win a championship with all that talent

Feb 8, 2018, 11:04 AM

What makes you say that? Kirby seems to have them on the right track. This is the first time in like 6 years Alabama did not have the #1 ranked recruiting class. I think Georgia is here to stay, and may replace Bama as the powerhouse in the SEC in the next four years. Teams I expect to be the bluebloods of CFB the next five years. Clemson GA BAMA OSU USC...I would not be surprised if Texas starts running the Big 12 again either.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Georgia will not win a championship with all that talent

Feb 8, 2018, 11:11 AM

Kirby made it to the CFB Championship because he didn't have to play Bama in the SEC Championship and he had 31 seniors. Talent doesn't equal Championships. Look at how talented Ohio State has been under Urban. How many cfb championships have they won? Urban is a way better coach than Kirby.

Its funny the infatuation with UGA on this board. Like a #### drool fest here with half a dozen threads a day created just to rip on UGA. I guess envy does that to some people.

You can live in denial if you want to. That's fine. But it's silly and childish to make statements like you did. Their past record with Richt has ZERO bearing on whether or not they have future success.

You have to start somewhere and recruiting is where you begin. They not only nailed it, they just set a new benchmark as far as I'm concerned.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

lol you can tell a UGA fan by their sense of accomplishment

Feb 8, 2018, 2:29 PM

From their hypothetical championship recruiting class

What exactly has Kirby Smart done? They play in the SEC East...arguably one of the worst divisions in college football. 2017 was the product of having 31 seniors. Let's see how he does this season.
