Georgia Had Average QB Play for the Year....

and won a Natty. We could have done the same. QB has to be Dabo's top priority in 2022.

We didn’t have the supporting skill set on offense needed to make it out of the first round. Yes, I believe that Alabama or UGA would have beaten us - maybe not blow outs but comfortable.

With an average QB Georgia isn’t in the playoffs would’ve had our loss and bamas loss in the sec championship

What?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes, Georgia won BOTH their Natties with average QB play.

Jan 11, 2022, 10:45 AM

Butt, you win a Natty, you're Golden.

I am sure Buck Belue is STILL reaping the benefits of that season.

And Stetson Bennett, whatever the future holds, this one can never be taken away from him. He will eventually star in the movie "Rudy, Part Too."

"Too", because we know Georgia fans still can't spell.

:)

Yes. I give Stetson credit for a very solid job.

You are correct about the QB

Jan 11, 2022, 11:47 AM

The precipitous drop off in QB play this year had a lot to do with the results on the field. But it's not just QB. As much as it pains me to say it, Georgia is eating our lunch right now in regards to recruiting, at all positions EXCEPT QB. I believe we have an OUTSTANDING QB coming in next season who should give us a near-instant spark on offense; but we need better receivers, better offensive linemen, better linebackers, and we have to keep recruiting DL and DBs at a very high level if we hope to keep up going forward. In my view our overall talent level has dropped noticeably since 2018, especially on offense. And without Venables, we'll need the very best players coming in to maintain the high standard he set for defense at Clemson.

If we would've had Georgia's O-line, we had a good shot this year with DJ
