Genuine question for the board

Oct 20, 2012, 11:00 PM

If FSU loses, do we then move into 1st in our division, even though they lose to Miami in the other division?

Once again, if FSU loses we control our own destiny***

Im pretty sure a conference loss counts as a conference loss not matter what division the other team is in. My only concern would be tie breakers.

NC State is currently 1st in the Atlantic

Oct 20, 2012, 11:06 PM

If FSU loses tonight NC State will still be in first but we will control our destiny, because we have yet to play NC State

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

No they wouldn't be

If FSU loses then Clemson would sit atop of the division by virtue of a 3-1 conf record vs 2-1 for both NCSU and MD. It doesn't really matter because we still have to play them.

Yes

Oct 20, 2012, 11:12 PM

The first criteria is conference record. FSU loss would give then 2 conf loses and put Clemson in a tie with Maryland and NCSU (right now) for the lead in the division. Our record would put us in first p,ace but that is hollow since we still play both.

Yes, but it wont happen.

Miami is struggling just to keep up with FSU. This will not end well.
