General quality of concessions

Feb 8, 2022, 5:39 PM

Has anybody noticed that the general quality of concessions at sporting events has gone downhill in recent years? Eating at the game no longer really an option.

Clemson sporting events pretty poor as far as that goes.

But not just Clemson. I went to a Charlotte Hornets game recently and I was actually taken aback at how bad the concessions were. It was typical poor quality Aramark pretzels/popcorn/hot dogs etc.

Anybody else noticing this?

(And please no “you Cant watch a game without stuffing your face” smart ### replies)

I think inflation and the general economy has a lot to do with it. You got to go with the cheapest.

Over priced. Try to avoid it. Drink and maybe peanuts unless I’m starving. They are flat out killing it at concessions at a place like Bank of America with what they are paying for food. Guessing the cheapest your food vendor sells is what they buy.

Yea now that sounds good. Some great food on some of those trucks. They brought a Smoking Pig truck behind the West End Zone a while back but said they had to move off campus because of Aramark’s (I think that’s who it is) contract with the University. I enjoyed it but was very expensive as well.

As far as going to Clemson FB games at home, or away, most people tailgate, and most of us have stuffed our selves of what we cooked at the tailgate. At least 99.99% of the time while inside the stadium, the only thing I'll purchase from concessions, is something to drink, especially with the September games where it's still very hot in DV, in September!!!

Concessions are very good, lots of options and a good price in the ATL Benz. Kind of the exception to the rule.

Why do dogs always race to the door when the doorbell rings? It's almost never for them.
