Current unemployment rate in SC is 3.5%. The long term average is 6.27%.

I may be wrong, but unemployment is calculated as percentage of people applying for unemployment versus total number of working age individuals. We have a government that is more freely distributing subsidies now so many individuals have removed themselves from the workforce.

Ding, ding ding. A man that understands what is really going on. Quit believing unemployment numbers years ago regardless which party was in office. It’s not that they are not openings they are just nobody putting in. The Burger King up by the house that has a sign that says work today get paid tomorrow?? Wonder how that works. Just drop you some cash out of the till?

Lol 3.5 percent come on my way and I could get it to 0. Everyone in my area has now hiring signs with adjusted hours because help is scarce. I wish 3.5 was an accurate number but I believe that number is for those actively seeking employment not the general population. I am figuring over 10 percent at my current job. Fixing to have 2 more openings and not figuring many will put in. Used to have a lot of applicants but not anymore.

Man you can’t any even talk to people that believe that number. Get out a little and get back with me on that number. Unreal in the FM/TC area. You do a call in order and they send now hiring information home with you.
