Wasn't the game 41-10 at the end of the 3rd? In fact, Georgia had the ball up 41-10 early in the 4th, but had already put in the backups at that point. Georgia easily could've won this game by 40+ points so "not 41-17 better than SC" is actually correct.

Well, he's at least partly correct. In the first sentence he states, "But let's be honest. Georgia is not 41 - 17 better than SC". Now, that part is correct but he should have added, "They are much better than the 41 - 17 score indicates".

I remember in the late 80's watching post fight interview with a guy that had just been beaten ruthlessly and knocked unconscious by a young Mike Tyson .
He was telling the reporter that he felt like it was a "close fight " and that Tyson had maybe "landed a couple of lucky punches " .
I remember looking at the television and thinking ... I saw your mouthpiece sail into the first row . At one point your legs were no longer being directed by your central nervous system . Your wife was crying after the second knockdown... in the second round .

self awareness is the reason they never grow or at least maintain anything other than short lived shots of semi glory. See they are so disillusioned it helps get them from night to night, week to week and finally season to season believing a winning record and trip to a tired bowl is enough to lead them to believe what they're "leaders" bait them with like Todd Ellis' superficial claim we are cycling out while they are cycling in theory.
Their lack of self awareness leads them to accept anything short of alien abductions if one of their egocentric "leaders" tells them anything outlandish and positive at all.

CM wants to offer a mere comment of hope to a fan base which has had virtually nothing of consequence over one hundred twenty years of competition. Their utter inability to grasp reality is not surprising.
The historic phrase, “Wait til Next Year!” is clear evidence of their futile expectations of sustained success in the face of a history otherwise. Good luck competing with Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Auburn and eventually Tennessee and Missouri. Usuck has no real traditions and an almost total lack of success other than a few years here and there.

This has been the typical coot response after a big blow out game. And I believe muschump encourages this kind of attitude. For SC to get better they have to realize their team , their facilities and living in the current city of Columbia, SC sucks and is not the most attractive school to entice recruits.
Occasionally they grap 2 or 3 really good players but never enough to get through a season without injuries to one of those key players. They need to accept what Spurrier accomplished was against teams that were down in talent when they won 10 or 11 games.
Historically they are an 6 to 8 win team. I don’t think that will ever change unless they blow up WB and start over building a nice college village around the stadium. All those new facilities IMO will not change the program no matter who the HC is.
