Great game and environment. I think Clemson beat Auburn, FSU and VA tech to start the season.

The game that I will always remember about Tajh was the LSU Bowl game. He was the Eveready Bunny, took a licking and kept on ticking. He was hit so many times and just kept getting up.

His Wr's actually made him look better. All he had to do was get the ball in the vicinity and they would snag it.

Thanks for the memories. The memory banks are full of great stuff for those of us lucky enough to be long time fans and to have been along for the grand ride.
In 1935, Ohio State played Notre Dame in Columbus in front of 85,000 fans. Meanwhile Little Ole Clemson was playing home games on Riggs Field. Clemson was on nobodys radar as an up and coming football power house.
Since 1977, a span of 45 years Clemson ranks 7th among major college teams in our won loss percentage. Only Ohio State, Oklahoma, Alabama, FSU, Georgia, and Nebraska have a better winning percentage than our Tigers over those 45 years.
Along the way over those 45 years we have winning records over Ohio State, Oklahoma, are 1-1 against Nebraska, have gone 2-3 vs Bama, and are sitting on a 6 game winning streak vs FSU. We are 7-10 versus Georgia but have won 3 Nattys to their two over the same period of time.
You can make a good argument that Clemson's emergence as a true blue blood of college football in the modern era is no worse than the second best long running streak of unprecendented emergence as a powerhouse in college football, our national sport and pastime.
(I'll tip my hat to FSU for also rising to the top of the sport over my lifetime, but if the Noles will acknowledge our 6 game winning streak and the fact they dodged a game with us in Tallahassee rather then take the beating they were going to get.)
Serious long time fans know just how great the ride has been. I thank the players and coaches who have been so good for so very long. A special thanks to Frank Howard, Danny Ford and Dabo Swinney for being the men who did the most for the longest time in creating the Clemson Tigers of the modern era.
Go Tigers!!

“Takes a licking and keeps on ticking” referred to a Timex watch. Not the Energizer bunny.

Poster is an idiot who does not know or seemingly care about the scoreboard.
Last 5 years, 61-8. Only 1 team with more wins. Last 5 years, LSU, Georgia and Clemson have each won 1 Natty. Bama won twice. Last 7 years with Tony Elliot as OC, Clemson won 2 Nattys and more games than anyone not named Bama.
And the moron calls offense 'middle school'? Players win games. In the linked Auburn game Clemson put 4 NFL wide receivers on the field, including the best WR in the NFL over the past several year.
I wonder which team he really supports?

What's amazing is Sammy got injured in the first series and didn't return. Nuk went off that night against a defensive full of Sunday players.
I believe Nuk played his way into the 1st round that night.

The thing I most enjoyed about that game, other than winning

was that my brother, his wife, and my niece were in town for that game. My sister-in-law and niece are Auburn fans. My niece finished Auburn. My brother is a coot and Alabama fan - I know, that is typical in the $EC. He hates Clemson; always has. Therefore, he lowered himself to wear an Auburn shirt. (As a comparison, I would NEVER wear a coot shirt.) I got them good tickets two sections over from us. At halftime I went over to talk to them and see how they were doing. My brother just responded, "That freshman, #2, is KILLING us!"
My Mom, Dad, and I had a great ride home. Them, not so much.

Look at all those routes in the middle of the field!! Sammy, Nuk, Jaron and D Allen roaming down the middle, following a clear out route in the same area and showing strong hands and being fearless of contact back when guys could still hit you. We are light years away from that now.

And all very young and performing, knowing the playbook, and adjusting to Auburn Defense. No excuses. Starts with QB putting it in the right place -- but you are 100% correct on outstanding Clemson talent. And add Peake and Humphries.

Highlight real shows how valuable a great TE is. Some unreal catches by Allen. Best group of pass catchers ever at CU. Thanks for posting,
