When Furman comes to Clemson Tuesday I'll be there doing the broadcast for the Furman network. It will be good getting back to DKS.
On my Facebook and Twitter pages, I have challenged my friends/followers to donate at least $1 to the Every Day Foundation to help us cover the cost of the Launch Party we will have on June 1 at Lighthouse Keowee.
Cost for the party is roughly $3,500. To date we have collected about $1,500.
You, the Clemson fans, have been overwhelmingly supportive of me over the years. And especially so when my time at WCCP came to an end. But looking back now I believe it was supposed to be that way. I really believe I'm supposed to be doing the EDF on as much of a full-time basis as possible.
I'm asking for your support one more time. I don't know if this will be my last trip as a broadcaster to DKS or not. But regardless, I'm asking you to do one of two things:
- Come make a donation to me at the game. Any amount. Nothing is too small (or too large, for that matter).
- If you can't make it to the game, go to our website - www.everydayfoundation.org. There you'll find all the info on who, what, when, where and why. And at the bottom of the front page you can make a donation right there.
Can you give at least $1? More will be appreciated, of course. But all we're asking is at least $1.
And once we get the cost of the party covered, we are slashing ticket prices for the event, which is going to be an absolute blast.
Thank you for your support over the years, and thank you in advance for supporting the EDF.
Anyway, there's a donation bucket in the window of our radio booth. And the Home Run Twins will have one, too. Please help us at the Every Day Foundation by donating any amount, large or small.
Also, I have tickets for the June 1 Launch Party at Lighthouse Keowee. We have slashed the prices. Get 'em now for $25 and $12.50.
And for those of you who have asked, 103.3 FM, www.furmanpaladins.com, and inside DKS at 105.9 FM.
