Fun topic - Texas AM cancelled. If in playoff - would they?

My vote is they would have found a way to play.
I suspect that losing to Wake Forest would have been a nasty black eye and they found a reason to cancel.
I am not suggesting they don’t have a problem - I am suggesting they would have found a way to work it out - hide test results - etc to play.

Thoughts?

Of course they would have played. More money for recruits from boosters than the Gator could offer.

I agree!

Somehow! Some way; they would have played is my gut feeling!

The people who don't get hypothetical questions such as this will scream how serious it is and how we do not get it! But, I sincerely believe it would have either been covered up and not reported or they would have basically taken some real action to remain in the playoff game!

Yes, because no one would opt out or enter the portal when a Natty ring is a possibility. A&M had nothing to really play for so that is why they all left.

You should not worry about Tamu in the playoffs ain't gonna happen...you've heard of the Japanese aggie...bombed pearl Bailey on December 7th...what does the Tamu grad say to the UT grad...you want fries with that.

They wouldn't have players opting out if they were in the playoffs.

They backed out because of unavailable players but it was mostly opt outs and portal.

Covid was just a convenient excuse.

Sucks for the players who wanted to play or get the bowl experience.

That was some kid's final time playing football taken away by the #### coach.
