Picked up another starter on the SC defensive line. Gilber Edmond.
Not sure what's going on with Beamer. He had a successful season, 8-4 and two big wins at the end of the season. He should have momentum on his side. But, he's lost 19 guys in the portal, including at least 3 starters.

Edmond got a chance to play b/c the starter (Strachan) went down. He did OK, not great. Strachan will be back next year, and we have just recruited over him this cycle at DE. I think he saw an opportunity to capitalize and took it. I did see how showed up on his official at FSU wearing USC gear. lol
I'll just say this...there is a story to be told about how much of a fight Beamer actually put up to keep the majority of these guys, but I'm not sure it will ever be told. He lost about the same amount his first year to the portal. This should be the last of the old Muschamp guys to leave. If he keeps losing starters that he brought here, I'll get worried. But he hasn't lost any yet.

Thanks. I figured there was something behind the story. I could see guys leaving last year, Beamer's first, as guys wanted to leave and Beamer encouraged them to leave. Just surprised how many leeft in year 2.

Everyone knew Bell was out. Good luck with that one. Didn't want to improve his blocking, didn't want to improve his routes, had trouble remembering plays, but thought he was getting screwed out of snaps. Then his whole family started dragging the coaching staff on twitter. Crazy talented though.
A little surprised on Lloyd and Burch. If they were unhappy, they never addressed it with the coaches.
Sincerely hope those guys get it together and challenge Clem for the ACC.

.... as the 3rd or 4th best DE. He'll be given a chance to win a starting job, but right now it looks like he is adding much needed depth to that position.

That's hilarious. He's not running them off, but if they don't want to be here he's not begging them to stay either. He is working Juice and Rattler, and that seems to have paid off.
Not even remotely true on the talent part.

Where did this 36% come from ? Hopes FSU challenges Clem for the ACC ? One win in 8 years and they blow their chest out. When is your team going to challenge for the SEC. Remember, you were very fortunate last year. Its a whole new year now and you will not sneak up on anybody and teams will probably have their starting QB's against you. Dabo will also not repeat what happened last year.

FSU is the portal king, but they have to be. They also lost guys to the portal. 247 rank is 20 with low average. The portal buys you a possible good player but without HS recruiting you have NO DEPTH. if some gets hurt you have no solid players.
