Morris' "slow" offense puts up points and yards on Saturday

Offensive coordinator Chad Morris admitted Saturday that his offense wasn't in a rhythm and that the pace was slower than we he would liked. However, the Tigers still piled up 601 yards, 47 points and won the time of possession battle. Full Story »

There is no doubt through 6 games, the offense and Coach Morris' play calling are carrying this team. Oh woe if the O has an off day.

As far as defense, Coach V says progress is being made. Maybe so, but very small baby steps that are barely discernible.

And BTW, that was 483 offensive yards from GT Saturday.

Clemson #102 in rushing defense.
#96 overall defense

And if anyone is interested USuK is #10 in overall defense and it showed Saturday.

I would not want to play the chickens today, but the end

of November is still a long time away. Coach V is working hard to change things and young players are maturing. We are fortunate to have one of the best offenses in the country to put up a lot of points. It will all depend on who "shows up" for that game. They might be looking ahead at the SEC CG. No matter, we have to win that game and end these "dark days". Have faith boys!

I am encouraged by our Ds performance on 3rd and 4th down, I thought this years Tigers have done a better job than any year since PJ was hired by GT!

Sweet, ironic payback-- our O played keep away from GT!***

Math here a little "fuzzy"

93 plays to their 63 - but they got way more yards per play than we did. If you get big chunks, you don't need as many plays, right?

So the 63 is more a statement on our defense's shortcomings than it is anything.

Before we crack on the D too hard, remember we are top 20 in Offense, as is FSU, GT, UNC, and Miami..Does that say our offenses are great, or Ds in the ACC are bad. Lets see how we play out of the ACC, and in the bowl game.
