Tony is a very good dude and awesome example of personal discipline and perseverance. With that said, I think it will be good for both him and Clemson both if he takes the HC job at Virginia.

secgrowa, it is good for T.Elliott regardless and good for Clemson in that us Clemson people always want to see our alums doing well in the world. After all, the primary objective is always that our graduates become productive citizens in the country &/or world.

As far as T.Elliott's possible departure being good for Clemson's Football team, that is not true. T.Elliott is one heck of an O-Coordinator, and one heck of a mentor to young men. (Not to mention that he is a fine recruiter in large part because he is also a fine man.)

I am so proud of Tony Elliott and what he has overcome in his early life. Also, I am proud of what he accomplished as a young man at Clemson, not many football players get an engineering degree, especially as a walk-on to our football team. Dabo say what type of person Tony could become and took him under his wing. Tony made the most of it when he accepted the running back coach at Clemson when he played as a wide receiver. Many of us wondered about that decision at the time but Dabo knew Tony and he did well as coach. He has been an excellent offensive coordinator and has helped win two National Championships. Thank you, Tony for giving back to Clemson and best wishes to your future as a head coach. You will always be a Tiger.
