Former Clemson track star, gold medalist's 5-year ban upheld

Jul 2, 2021, 5:27 PM

Former Clemson track star Brianna Rollins-McNeal had a 5-year ban upheld Friday for "tampering within the results management process" as an anti-doping rule violation.

Rollins-McNeal, 29, won the gold medal in the 100m hurdles in the 2016 Olympics and qualified for the 2021 Olympics while her appeal was pending.

Rollins gave her side of the story in a social media post Friday afternoon (more details on the story below):

Great she got her gold medal but unfortunate that she is now banned. I am not really up to speed on the reason for it, even after reading through

So white European men kept her from competing ? Hmm..would the outcome be different if those hearing her case weren't white ? I doubt it . Calling them out based on their skin color makes her just as guilty of racism .

Maybe she can talk to Lance Armstrong and he'll commiserate with her .

I was thinking the same thing about the "white European men" comment. Does this mean that the rules are different when the panel is with yellow, brown, or black men. If you get busted, play the race card, that may help, but usually it doesn't!!!! It only offends the ones that you are implementing to being racist!!!

abortion was her THIRD missed test.

The fact that she it trying to use killing an unborn child to garner sympathy now for her plight makes me have absolutely none for her. Sorry, some things overcome Clemson connections.

This is so sad. Such a blemish on the record of a very talented athlete. I do not understand why she was not honest to begin with. If she had an abortion, she was probably administered drugs for pain that would have shown up on the drug test. She just needed to be upfront and honest. To play the race card is pathetic. No one made her falsify records.

Dang I wish these gifted numb nuts would take responsibility for their actions instead of screaming racism. She had a choice and made the wrong on. Her fault period
