I'm not sure if this has already been passed along and it may only go out to NY/New England alumni. But those two Alumni clubs are sponsoring a pregame party the night before. Details:

Where: The Blue Tusk 165 Walton St. Syracuse, NY
When: Friday, October 4th 6:00-9:00 pm

No cost to attend. Light appetizers available while they last. Cash bar and menu items available to order. Free parking is available on the street and in a nearby parking garage for a small fee.

Philly. I ask only b/c friends who live in southern PA haven't decided which way they will go for quickest drive. For them Harrisburg is a few extra miles.

After 6 hours I bet that first beer and snack will taste good, too!

Doesn't matter...roads all suck in PA. Always construction delays on I-81 near Scranton unless you time it well...avoid high traffic times. Get gas in PA...NY gas is skyhigh $3.65 a gallon or so.

In the Northeast I use the 511 service as much as possible

Blue Tusk is in Armory Square. If you guys travel as I expect the place will be hopelessly overwhelmed by you guys. It is a great place though with 69 micros on tap. Awesome music. Have no fear...there are another 20-30 bars within stumbling distance. Dinosaur BBQ is about 5 blocks north.

Another place for Friday night is Destiny about 1 mile north of downtown

If you want to avoid the crazy crowds of Armory Square and just sit and watch the Friday night games try the Saltine Warior Pub a few blocks north of Armory Square.
