There’s not a huge pool of coaches in waiting…..

Remember Alabama hired Bill O’Brien if that tells you anything.

You do realize that the candidate CAN be currently employed, right? We're paying our OC more than anyone else in the country.

I just do get "those guys". TE is about as good as you can get and yet folks are unhappy. I wonder if they wanted to fire BV after the two previous seasons and allowing 40+ points (28 points at half) in the CFP TWICE!

wouldn't know what an in-game adjustment was even if it came up and but him in the ####. you can't forgive sticking with something that OBVIOUSLY is not working.

I can't tell you how much I agree with this post!

1st of all the Tigers were a top 10 offense last year and pretty much each of the last 7 years. Last year more importantly - because it was w/o coach Scott(Jeff).
To me if anyone on the offensive staff ( which is the only place I put a bit of blam/criticism to coach Elliott and coach Swinney is the OL coach and the QB coach)!

Maybe change out QB coach? That's the big change that happened(Coach Scott worked with those guys during games to help them make adjustments - is that happening now)?

OL has just not been "national championship" level for two full seasons!

Hard for any play caller to look good if it's blocked poorly or if when it is blocked well the QB air mails it.

Last year, last year, last year. National championships. I'm sick of hearing about the past. This isn't last year. TE sucked last year too and the year before that. This is this year. Live in the present because everything is dynamic as you guys like to say. It's all about WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY. I'm grateful to TE for being a part of the past but this is a new year and he needs to perform. This could easily be the first year of a long dry spell if we aren't careful. Ya'll blow smoke up each other's skirts if you want but I'm going to call them like I see them.

I tend to give the OL a bit more credit. They have played well "enough" this season. Pass protection has not been as much of an issue. Most of DJ issues in the pocket are his own making (ie 5 seconds before the sack) They were not NC level last season but they were not lousy. I think more lies with how DJ has been prepared thus far and I am not talking about mechanics. He looks lost at time and we isn't making good decisions. Maybe this is where jeff earned his rent (and yes, I considered Jeff to be a micro-dabo as far as player adjustments during the game). I don't think we have an X and O issue (which is TE) but DJ just isn't processing the confusion DC are tossing at him. TE has said as much> We know that DJ is better than his performance thus far, so where is the kink in the process?

I personally think we should sweettalk Chad Morris out of his High School gig. Always love it when true love rekindles...

Also, for $2M and the climate, maybe we could get Eric Bieniemy. Just sayin...
