For laughs look at UGA 2023 schedule

Cupcake city. Makes our previous “cupcake” schedule better. Our schedule next year has potential to be one of the toughest in the country.

Tennessee is a top 15 team

South Carolina is a top 25 team
Ole Miss is a top 25 team

Kentucky could be a top 25 team
Florida could be a top 25 team

Notre Dame is a top 15 team
Florida State is a top 15 team

South Carolina is a top 25 team
NC State is a top 25 team

UNC could be a top 25 team
Duke could be a top 25 team
Miami could be a top 25 team

Despite claims to the contrary, the SEC East is not one of the better conferences out there. Obviously, with Georgia it will carry a lot of swagger but the dropoff is steep. Kentucky is a hyped-up pretender for top 25, Florida should be better but is not top 25 either, Columbia college had a good run at the end of last year but that really is an anomaly until proven otherwise, Mizzou and Vandy should be MAC teams. So that leaves us with Tennessee as the only challenger. The Ole Miss crossover is the only other possible game to watch

Kentucky should be better in 2023. Devin Leary is a good QB. Their top 2 WRs were both freshmen, along with their TE. All three of them should improve.

Plus, their transfer portal haul is pretty impressive...

Leary was the #2 QB. Ray Davis was a 1,000 yard rusher at Vandy. A former 5 star DL from UNC. A couple of DBs and OL that will start for them next season.

The East has just as many ranked teams in the final rankings as the entire ACC.

They'll go undefeated in the regular season for sure with that schedule. Not taking anything away from them but that's a really weak schedule. The only team they play in the regular season with a pulse is Tennessee. All joking aside, we would be at least 11-1 with that schedule with undefeated a possibility. Tennessee and Ole Miss would be the only 2 that would worry me if Clemson played that schedule.

Well, we lost to two teams on that schedule. UAB, Ball State and UT Martin are 3rd string scrimmage games for UGA @ Sanford Stadium.

On the upside - The fanbase will be expecting UGA to score 70 points each game, so cries to fire Kirby, the OC and DC are imminent... oh wait.. nevermind.

The Oklahoma game was taken away from us by the SEC Conference and with most schedules already set Ball State was our only option it seems. We season ticket holders are not happy. Pitiful home schedule in 2023......but hey that 3-peat is looking good!

I would not call it a weak overall schedule. The object for every team is to make the playoffs and win a national championship. The conference championship game can affect making the playoffs. UGA will probably have to play a top 5 Alabama in the SEC championship. Everyone trashed Georgia's schedule this year before the season started. Of AP top 25 teams, only USC played more teams that finished in the top 25 than UGA. USC played 6, Utah, LSU, Tenn and UGA played 5 (Oregon, Tenn, SC, Miss St, LSU). Clemson played 3 (Notre Dame, FSU, SC). UGA will play 7 potential 25 teams next year (SC, UK, Tenn, Florida, Miss, Auburn, West SEC Champ). This past year Clemson only played 1 ACC team that finished in the AP top 25. I would not trash Georgia's schedule when Clemson plays the the weakest power 5 football conference.

I was following you right up until the Auburn in the Top 25 bit.

Just for reference. UGA did have Oklahoma on the schedule (even before Riley left) for next year but the BIG 12/SEC squashed it as OK is joining SEC next year. UGA has played ND, Clemson and Oregon out of conference the last three full years. Their schedule is a cupcake. Tennessee is their only true competition and I fear even if they lose to TN and miss out on the SEC championship they'll sneak in like a 1 loss OSU did this year.
