Props to Venables for admitting the prevent defense was a bad idea. Good man. Other than that, called a great game.

One big difference between him and Steele is that Venables will recognize his own faults.

Also, poor Venables. Someone get him some hot herbal tea with honey.

Just keep swinging and good things will happen for you...Venables and the rest of the coaches have instilled a toughness in these players, and brought out the fight in them. I really began noticing the change in the "D" last season, as they may have given up yardage, but they never gave up the fight.
They also played loose and downhill, and showed signs of intelligent/confident play, as they would often stiffen at crucial times...I luv how by games end the defense has taken most of the fight out of the offense.
In the Geargia game I was a bit bummed they played prevent when they went up by ten at the end, cuz that defense rlly had taken a lot of the fight outta those dawgs. It would've been nice to see them finish with that same mentality, instead of letting them waltz down the field..

With a high powered offense like Clemson has, the defense doesn't always have to hold the opposing offenses scoreless...If they just fight that opposing offense all game and make it tough for them, they will win some crucial battles, and Clemson will win a lot of games.

Hats off to our special teams, the kicking game is giving Clemson a huge advantage with field positioning, and some real heads up play on coverage teams is great to see. With our kicking game our special teams win out even if we fair catch everytime. The only way I see our special teams losing is if the kick returners try to force a play when its not their.

The offense is often an oversight for me, because they've been markedly improved since Morris and co. took over, so they've been good and fun to watch for some time now:) A lot of people think about Clemsons QB and wideouts when it comes to their offense, but they have a solid running game, and their RB's run hard, and their O-line seems to get stronger every year. I also love how the TE's are utilized...Its awesome to see Clemson have such a well-rounded offense.
I was worried about who would step up at RB, but they definitely stepped up against Georgia. I luv the way Hot Rod runs...dude runs hard, and even though he has some nice quicks/jukes, he doesn't get caught up pussy-footing around; instead he explodes with great purpose in a positive direction.

If ur a Clemson fan you have to be stoked about Boyd coming back, the guy is a winner, and just keeps getting better.

Suhweet win.
