His rise through the ranks and his accomplishments this year are not only to be admired but when examined are a big factor in why this team is where it is.

(now for my opinion which counts for naught)

That being said, I do not like the wording on how he is doing. "he did everything we need him to do" for whatever reason sounds like "just passing" or 70%.

David smith starting at left guard tells me he is taking all the reps at left guard which means Brandon Thomas is getting all his reps at left tackle.

Brandon seemed to be catching the coaches ire last week and with good cause.

I don't think this is the same offense or team without Price.

Sammy is a phenom but was catching balls one handed prior to the NC State game during warm ups hince the reason he did not play.

(sorry... Typing this from my blackberry is a challenge)

Sammy's speed is needed but I don't see chancing him by running him in the jet sweep or in any of the other ways he has been used in the ground attack. If Boyd does not have time to throw the ball or is not rolled out of the pocket by design I don't think he will be able to get the deuce the ball. Based on what we saw last week at least.

I think the game comes down to how the left side of the line plays with or without Sammy. It won't be about talent... It will be about heart! Phillip Price and Sammy Watkins just stepping on the field shows me their hearts. I pray Brandon Thomas shows us just half of that desire.

Just my opinion.... GO TIGERS!
